This morning after breakfast (it's Wednesday, which means 'sandwiches'- cheese and ham on toasted bread) we got ready for our big day- a trip to the local park. It rained hard yesterday for most of the day, so everything was really wet, but we did have fun:
Here is some video of Will in his swing- he almost flipped out of this thing 3 times. Ugh- there are some broken bones in our future, I'm afraid:
After the park we made a trip to La Carulla (the grocery store), and Ally fell asleep on the way there while Will fought hard to do the same. Beck pulled him out of the stroller to try to help keep him awake, and the whole time in the store his head was doing the bob and weave, and his eye lids looked like they weighed a thousand pounds. Hilarious. Back to Paris we went (while only getting the necessities- it's not like we won't have time to go back tomorrow!) for lunch and then rest time.
After rest time, Beck had scheduled a pedicure after learning from one of the other moms here that they only cost 12,000 pesos. That's about $6.00- pretty good, huh? Beck was really proud of this find (and something tells me it won't be the last one before she leaves). Here are her pretty feet (if there is such a thing):
Here's a little video of the crazy things that happen when Mom isn't around. Ally and Will decided to pull of his socks and put them on his head:
And so after the pedi came more of what I love around here: Helado (ice cream). This time we went to a place a lot closer to us called Mimo's. It's a nice little place that has an upstairs with a play area. Ally and I indulged, naturally:
Tomorrow we are heading back to Los Pisingos for our tour (we requested it before I leave so we can talk to Carlos about some things). We would especially like to thank all the many people that donated money so that we can give it to them- we so appreciate your willingness to give to the kids in Colombia who are near and dear to our hearts, and the orphanage is always in need. They do such a great job of taking care of the kids and your donations mean the world to them and us. Thanks so much for making an impact in their lives!!
Love to all-
Scott, Beck, Ally, and Will
